Graveside services for Nannette Byrd, 85, of Tyler will be held at 1 p.m. on Fri., Oct. 11, at Land of Memory Cemetery Chapel of the Air in Palestine. Arrangements are under the direction of Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
Mrs. Byrd passed away on Tues., Oct.8, 2013 in Tyler.
She was born on Aug.15, 1928 in Palestine to Walter Broyles and Marjorie Henderson Broyles. Mrs. Byrd was a homemaker who lived in Houston for 40 years raising her family and later retired to live on Lake Jacksonville in 1986. She was a wonderful mother and loved greatly by her family. Mrs. Byrd was preceded in death by her parents and husband, E.O. (Pete) Byrd.
Survivors include daughter Diane Hooper; son James Byrd and wife JoAnn; brothers Walter Broyles and wife Blanche and Danny Broyles and wife Linda; sister in law Faye Stevens; grandchildren Samantha Hooper, Jason Byrd, Brianna Lémon and husband Andres, Jackie Hooper, and Brandon Byrd; and great grandchild Ava Marie Byrd.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thurs., Oct. 10, at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home.
