Billie Sue Averyt Trimble

JACKSONVILLE — Billie Sue Averyt Trimble passed away Monday evening, March 25, 2013.  She was born Sept. 14, 1920, in De Leon, Texas to the late Elmore McCall Averyt and Adice Hendricks Averyt of Jacksonville.  She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Jacksonville.

Mrs. Trimble is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Nelson Trimble, Jr., daughter Carolyn Trimble Campbell, brother Dr. E. M. Averyt, Jr., and nephew David Dennison.  She is survived by her three sons, C. Nelson Trimble and wife Renee of Houston, Thomas A. Trimble and wife Sandi of San Antonio, James B. Trimble and wife Marilyn of Memphis, Tenn., her sister and brother-in-law, Bess and Dr. Robert Dennison of Austin, sister-in-law, Martha Averyt of San Antonio, and special friend, Maedean (Mary) Jones of Jacksonville.

She is also survived by 13 grandchildren:  Susan Trimble Knapp and husband Gene of Houston, Chase Trimble and wife Jennifer of Atlanta, GA, Alexander Trimble and William Trimble of San Antonio,  Stephen Trimble and wife Dawn of Atlanta, Ga., Matthew Trimble and wife Candace of Boston, Stacey Trimble, Daniel Trimble and Joy Trimble of Memphis, Tenn., Neal Campbell and wife Alicia of Tyler, Laura Campbell of Tyler, and Katie Campbell and John Campbell of Rusk. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Trimble lived in Jacksonville from the age of 3 and graduated from Jacksonville High School and Lon Morris College.  She worked at Trimble & Company as a tax return preparer until the age of 88 when a stroke forced her to retire.

We remember her with love as a wonderful mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to the staff of Senior Care of Jacksonville for their warm and loving care.

Visitation will be on Fri., March 29, from 5 pm until 7 p.m. at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.  Funeral services for are scheduled for Sat., March 30, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Autry Funeral Home, followed by burial at Resthaven Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Trimble requested that memorial gifts be sent to First Presbyterian Church, or H.O.P.E., Inc. of Jacksonville, Texas.
