JACKSONVILLE — Funeral services for Ben Talley, age 87, of Jacksonville are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, December 2, 2013 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville with Rev. Ben A. Talley, Rev. Lee Welch, and Rev. Ken McEachern officiating. Burial will be at Claude Cemetery in Claude. Mr. Talley passed away Friday, November 29, 2013 in Tyler. He was born March 18, 1926 in Hedley to James L. Talley and Mattie Rutledge Talley. Ben served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a woodcarver, a maintenance supervisor for Lovington I.S.D., and a member of Beall Chapel Baptist Church in Jacksonville. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elois Talley and grandson, Benjamen Jason Talley. Survivors include his son, Rev. Ben A. Talley and wife Lynda of Athens; daughters, Frances Rutledge and husband Kevin of Tuscaloosa, AL, Marolyn Welch and husband Rev. Lee, Carolyn Little and husband Lonnie of LA; sisters Anneree Aufill and Magalene Ivey, both of Pampa. Visitation will be from 12-2pm Monday, December 2, 2013 at Autry Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
