JACKSONVILLE — Funeral services for Elsie Whatley, age 78, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sat., Jan. 12, at Autry Funeral Home chapel in Jacksonville with Rev. Joel McMahon officiating.

Burial will be held at Providence Cemetery in Jacksonville.

Mrs. Whatley passed away Wed., Jan. 9, 2013 in Tyler.

She was born April 11, 1934 in Jacksonville.

Mrs. Whatley was a member of First United Methodist Church in Jacksonville, a Pink Lady, and retired supervisor at Bealls General Offices.

She is preceded in death by her husbands Henry Weldon Sheets and W. O. Whatley Jr., daughter Nancy Ann Kitchens, grandson Timothy Wayne Kitchens, brother Paul Bonner and sister Vivian Young.

Survivors include her son Weldon Sheets and wife Sandra of Celeste, TX; step son Bill Whatley and wife Sherry of Grapeland; step daughter Dorothy Little of Tyler; brother Ray Bonner and wife Nancy of Mt. Selman; three grandchildren; four step grandchildren; seven great grandchildren, three step great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Michael Sheets, Wade Sheets, Andy Keymann, David Little, Randy Bonner, and Russell Carter.

Visitation will be from 6 - 8 p.m. Fri., Jan. 11,  at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
