Church Briefs for August 15

Kingsmen Quartet in Tatum tonight

The Kingsmen Quartet is live in concert at 7:30 p.m. today at the Tatum High School auditorium.

The group, from Asheville, N.C., adds legendary bass singer Ray Reese to three other men with outstanding vocal talent — baritone Tony Peace, lead Phillip Hughes and tenor Brandon Reese — and complements them with a live band.

Their traditional male quartet style of singing and vibrant band make for a wonderful combination that has remained popular with Gospel music fans.

“Their ministry is as fresh and exciting today as it has ever been,” owner Ray Reese said in a press release. “I see the Kingsmen ministry growing with the guidance of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, couple with the teamwork, dedication and integrity of this fine group of Christian men.”

Proceeds of the concert benefit the Tatum Volunteer Fire Department.

Advance adult tickets are $10. Tickets for children 12 years and younger are $5. Tickets are on sale now at B&B Grocery and the Tatum Volunteer Fire Department in Tatum and both Brookshire Bros. supermarkets in Henderson and Carthage. Tickets will be available at the door.
