Bullard, Troup, Brook Hill to play in TJC Wagstaff Classic

TYLER — Three of the area's high school basketball teams will cut their respective holiday vacations short when they take part in the Wagstaff Holiday Basketball Classic at Tyler Junior College.

The tournament, named after legendary coach Floyd Wagstaff, will start on Thursday and will continue on through Saturday.

All contests will be staged at Wagstaff Gymnasium on the TJC campus.

IN the Apache Bracket, Bullard's Panthers and the Tigers from Troup will be joining Brownsboro, Chapel Hill, Grace Community,King's Academy, T. K. Gorman and Van.

Brook Hill will be playing in the Gold Bracket, which also includes All Saints, Athens, John Tyler, Lindale, North Forney, Houston Redemption Christian Homeschool and Whitehouse.

Troup will face off against Gorman at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the tourney opener, with Bullard and Brownsboro to immediatly follow.

The Guard of Brook Hill will hit the hardwood at 3 p.m. against a potent Athens outfit.

Brook Hill is coming off of a Silver Bracket Championship last weekend in the Tatum Tournament.
