Tristan Walsworth capped off an illustrious career as a Troup Tiger by being named as District 9-2A-I's Co-Defensive Player of the Year.
Walsworth shared the award with Collin Gage of Tatum. Both young men are seniors.
Receivers Hitachi Lydia and Brandon Hearon, a pair of seniors, were First Team choices.
On the defensive front, defensive end Marcus Davis (Sr.), cornerback An'fernee Ross (Sr.) and defensive lineman Marquis Davis (Jr.) were also First Team selections.
Hearon double dipped by picking up First Team lauds as a Utility player as well.
Hearon was forced to finish the year out at quarterback after starter Blake Lynch went down with a significant injury in mid-season.
Dakota Deese, a senior, garnered First Team mention both as an inside linebacker and as a special teams player.
Student-athletes from Troup also littered the loop's Second Team.
Marcus Kincade checked in at running back and at safety, while Marquis Davis (FB) and Charlie Rowden (OL) found their way to the Second Team offensive unit.
On the defensive side, the Tigers were represented by Brett Martin (ILB), Lafabion Lydia (DE) and Hitachi Lydia (CB).
Troup is coached by Dennis Alexander.
