After earning a playoff berth out of District 19-3A, and subsequently making a deep playoff run, the Rusk Lady Eagles were duly awarded by significant representation onto the conference's all-district volleyball squad.
Senior Shayla Townsend, a middle hitter, and junior libero, Bailee Gates, came away with First Team lauds, following a vote of the league's head coaches.
A trio of Lady Eagle seniors appeared on the Second Team roll as well.
That list included Chelsie Daniels (outside hitter), Gabby Willis (outside hitter) and Kelsey Blankinship (setter, right side).
Middle hitter/middle blocker Emily Price, a junior, earned a place on the Honorable Mention list.
Bree Bossier of Fairfield was named as the Most Valuable Player while team mate Kaci Bachtel took home Newcomer of the Year honors.
Mandy Adams of Groesbeck won Offensive MVP honors, while the Defensive MVP award was presented to Bailey Johnson of Groesbeck.
Groesbeck's Hailye Reynolds picked up recognition as Most Valuable Setter.
