Sophomore Josee Ross hurled a one-hitter and stuck out 12 in Troup's 9-0 win over Hawkins.
The District 18-2A game took place Thursday in Troup.
The Lady Tigers, ranked No. 7 in Class 2A, are now 19-4-2 on the year are stand 5-0 in league affairs.
Leading 4-0, Troup sent five runners across the dish in the sixth inning to secure the win.
“Our bats started off a little bit slow, but we really came alive in the sixth inning,” Troup head coach Sam Weeks said. “We are working hard in practice to continue improving.”
The Lady Tigers pounded out 10 hits in the game.
Katelyn Standley, a Stephen F. Austin signee, went 2-for-3 with a triple and drove home two runs.
McKenzie Hugghins also had a 2-for-3 game and had a RBI.
Bethany Mason did well with the bat also. She picked up a pair of safeties in four official at bats and scored twice.
Lee Ann Lloyd contributed two RBI and stroked a double.
The Lady Tigers also gave an excellent account in the field by not committing any errors on the day.
Troup will travel to Frankston for a 5:30 p.m. contest this evening.
