16-4A Boys Hoops: Indians tripped up by Corsicana, 65-64

CORSICANA — Corsicana upset Jacksonville, 65-64, Friday night at TIger Gymnasium in a District 16-4A affair.

However, with John Tyler's 46-43 overtime loss to Whitehouse Firday, the Indians remain tied with John Tyler for second place in the distirct standing, with both teams trailing only Whitehouse.

Corsicana and Jacksonville split the season series this season, with the Indians having won in Jacksonville earlier this year.

For Corsicana the win was the Tigers' second upset of the league season at Tiger Gym — Corsicana also squeezed out a narrow victory over Whitehouse in thier own barn.

Jacksonville will look to right the ship on Tuesday by taking on the Dragons in Nacogdoches. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Dragon Coliseum.
