The Jacksonville Fight'n Indian and Fight'n Maiden basketball teams have a brand new home arena this season and with that comes a new ticket option for Jacksonville High basketball fans.
Both teams will call the JISD Gymnasium (formally Smith Events Center-Lon Morris College) their home barn beginning next month when the Maidens (Nov. 12 vs. Diboll) and the Tribe (Nov. 22 vs. Brownsboro) see their initial action in the 2,346-seat building.
The JISD took ownership of the facility earlier this year after submitting what turned out to be the winning bid during the LMC liquidation process.
One of the many benefits of the JISD Gymnasium will be its ability to provide Jacksonville basketball fans with the opportunity to purchase a season pass, which will enable recipients to select a reserve seat of their choice and to be able to sit in the same seat for all of the Indian and Maiden home games during the 2013-14 season.
Season passes are scheduled to go on sale on Nov. 6 at the Fieldhouse on the JHS campus, according to Deena Brand, JISD Athletics spokesperson.
Tickets will be sold Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. To 3:30 p.m.
Each pass will cost $100 (cash or checks accepted) and will cover admission to a total of eight varsity boy's games and nine varsity girl's games —17 varsity home games total — plus the preliminary sub varsity contests that will also be a part of the card.
A limit of eight season passes per person will be followed.
Season pass seating will be located on the lower level of the south side (left side of the building as you enter through the front doors) of the arena.
A total 228 reserve seats, which have backs and arm rests, will be available for purchase on a first come, first serve basis.
