Troup senior-to-be, Josee Ross, has been voted onto the Texas Girls Coaches Class 2A all-state unit.
Ross went 16-5 during the 2014 campaign and worked her way back from an early-see injury to strike out 258 opposing batters in just over 140 innings in the circle. She also had a teeny-tiny earned run average of 1.05.
Ross hit .380 also and owned a .564 slugging percentage and a .602 slugging percentage.
In 120 trips to the dish, Ross hit .370 and rocked three home runs while driving in 26.
Other players from East Texas that made the TGCA elite squads were Karley Hugghins (White Oak), Jayden Mount (Sabine), Kaitlyn Staines (Frankston), Sarah Johnson (Mount Vernon), Elkhart's Courtney Lindsey and Kaylee Isenburg and Mariah Nichols, who are from Lone Oak.
