The Bullard Lady Panther softball team secured a berth opposite Van in next week's regional quarterfinal by blasting Powderly North Lamar, 6-0, in Game 2 of a best-of-three Class 3A area series on Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Panthers (24-4) also downed the Pantherettes in the opener on Thursday night.
Bullard notched its 11th-straight win by out hitting North Lamar, 11-3.
The Lady Panthers scored one in the second inning, three in the third stanza and a pair in the fifth.
Texas Woman's University signee, Kristi “Coco” Springer limited North Lamar to three hits over seven innings and struck out 12.
Hana Woyt had three hits and 3-RBi to power Bullard at the plate while Springer added a pair of hits and a RBI.
