JMS Braves win 3-of-4 against Whitehouse

WHITEHOUSE —

Teams from Jacksonville Middle School won three of four games from host Whitehouse on Monday night.

The 8th-grade Blue team came out on top, 55-44, and were spurred on by Josh McDowell (16 points, 9 rebounds), Brady Robinson (13 points) and Deahvion Spencer (10 points, 3 steals).

JMS 8th-grade Gold edged the Wildcats, 38-35. Tayedrian Baker poured in 12 points and came down with 8 caroms. Will Chancey added 6 points and 2 steals and scored the game-winning basket on a 3-pointer.

JMS 7th-grade Blue walloped Whitehouse, 59-28, behind Pee Wee Fuller's 18 points. LeTaris Castleberry tossed in 14 for the winners.

The 7th-grade Gold fell, 39-9. Tacameron Stubblefield scored 4 points for the Braves.

The JMS teams will be taking part in the Whitehouse Tournament on Friday and Saturday and will host Lindale in their home opener on Monday.
