BULLARD — Jonathan Shelton, age 15, of Bullard fired a 2-under par 70 in Tuesday's final round of the NTPGA Junior Tour stop at Willow Brook and Oak Hurst in Bullard to come in first place in the boys 15-16 division.
Shelton also carded a 70 on Monday to finish with a 36-hole total of 140.
Shelton defeated Jeremy Bates (77-73 150) by 10 strokes to take first place.
The win was Shelton's fourth of the summer season. Previously he came out on top at tournaments held at Eagles Bluff, Emerald Bay and at the Van Zandt Country Club.
Jacksonville golfer Cameron Brown turned in rounds of 79 and 77, respectively, to finish at 156, which put him in fifth place.
Callen Eastman of Troup, who took eighth place, shot a 79 on Monday before closing with an 84 Tuesday.
Jamey Scruggs of Bullard turned in rounds of 86 and 82 and ended the two-day event in 13th place.
Another Jacksonville lad, Cash Cleaver, finished 16th (86-91 — 177).
