Jacksonville's Cameron Brown, 16, secured his best finish of the summer season last week when he came in fourth place at the Mental App Dallas Athletic Club Junior Open.
Brown booked rounds of 75 and 72, respectively, to finish the 36-hole challenge at 147.
The winning linkster in the boy's 15-18-year-old segment was Sean Badger, an 18-year-old, who came in at 139 (2-under).
The tourney, which drew 51 golfers in Brown's grouping, took place on the Blue Course at the historic Dallas Athletic Club.
Brown, the son of Dean and Mary Carol Brown, was playing in his second Northern Texas PGA Junior Tour event of the summer.
Brown will be a senior when school resumes this fall.
