TROY, Ala. —
Former Rusk High School softball standout, Sydney Littlejohn, now a true freshman at the University of Alabama, earned her first pitching victory as a member of the Crimson Tide softball team Saturday night when Alabama thumped Middle Tennessee, 9-1.
The game came in Day Two of the Troy University Subway Invitational.
Making her first start of the season, Littlejohn, got credit for a complete game (6 innings) win.
She allowed just two hits and one run (earned) while facing 21 batters.
She fanned seven Lady Raiders and walked one.
Littlejohn pitched one inning in Alabama's win over North Florida on Friday, working out of the Crimson Tide bullpen.
All three of her outs came via strike outs in that game.
Alabama (4-0) is scheduled to wrap up tournament play on Sunday by playing host Troy University.
