Another week, another strong finish for the Cecil Newton-coached Jacksonville High School golf team.
On Monday the young men finished in third place in the team standings at the Hideaway Lake Tournament, coming in at 335.
Lindale's linksters won the event with a score of 317 and Tyler Lee was second, coming in at 328.
A total of 21 teams participated in the one-day tournament.
Lindale's Garrett White won medalist accolades after carding a 74.
One shot back was his teammate, DJ Godoy, while Jacksonville's Cameron Brown came in third, firing a 76.
The Tribe's Cash Cleaver turned in a round of 79 and Trent Sansom shot an 85.
Completing things for the Tribe were Anthony Mobley (95) and Josh Ambrosen (120).
Other District 16-4A teams and their respective scores were Whitehouse (381) and John Tyler (504).
On Monday, Mar. 3, the Indians are scheduled to host their annual tournament at Challenge at the Woods beginning at 9 a.m.
