Jacksonville Daily Progress
Jacksonville has experienced its share of baseball success this month by going 8-1 in Summer League play and the Tribe nine will be looking to wrap up on a positive note when they host five area teams, including Rusk and Bullard, in the End of Season Tournament.
Tourney play opens at 11 a.m. Friday when the Indians take on the Panthers.
Action continues on Saturday and Sunday with the first game slated to get under way at 11 a.m. each day, with the day's final game slated to begin at 8 p.m.
All games will be played at Summers Norman Field at Jacksonville High School.
Other games slated for Friday have Chapel Hill battling Rusk at 1:15 p.m. followed by Brownsboro taking on the Vandals from Van at 3:30 p.m.
At 5:45 p.m. Bullard plays Chapel Hill, with Jacksonville and Brownsboro wrapping Day 1 up at 8 p.m.
On Saturday Rusk and Van will lead things off at 11 a.m.
At 1:15 p.m. Bullard and Brownsboro are set to clash, followed by Chapel Hill and Van at 3:30 p.m.
Saturday's final two games pit Bullard and Van at 3:45 p.m. and Rusk lining up opposite Jacksonville at 8 p.m.
On Sunday Rusk and Brownsboro will square off in the 11 a.m. slot, followed by matinee affairs that will see Chapel Hill taking on Jacksonville (1:15 p.m.) and Brownsboro (3:30 p.m.).
Closing night action will find Jacksonville hosting Van at 5:45 p.m., followed by Bullard and Rusk colliding at 8 p.m.
