Former Bullard High standout Charlie Moore had just one catch in Oklahoma State's 33-29 win over Kansas State Saturday afternoon before 58,841 fans — third largest crowd in Boone Pickens Stadium history — but it was the most important one in the game.

The Cowboys improved to 4-1 overall, 1-1 Big XII, thanks in part to a 6-yard game-winning touchdown grab by Moore from J. W. Walsh that came with 4:16 to go in the game.

The touchdown gave Oklahoma State the lead for good in what had been a back-and-forth affair.

Moore ran a shallow out right towards the front-left pylon and reeled in the catch for six points flawlessly.

After the game Moore, a senior slot receiver, had this to say about the spectacular play.

“I wasn't in for the whole series, but near the goal line we ran a play that we had run earlier, where they (Kansas State) denied me an inside release,” he said. “I came to the sideline and said we should throw an out route there. We called it up and it worked.”

More added that he believed his team could build off of the Saturday's dramatic victory.

“....It was great to get a win here at home and to beat Kansas State,” Moore said. “It's always good to win those close ones. It gives you confidence, moving forward. It was a great team win.”
