Texas State Jr. Championship: Shattuck in top 10 heading into final round

HORSESHOE BAY, Texas — Another day, but the same results for Jacksonville's Hunter Shattuck.

Shattuck, duplicated his first-round effort by shooting a 74 Thursday to stand at 148 after 36 holes of play in the 86th Texas State Junior Championship presented by Merrill Lynch.

Shattuck remained tied for ninth place heading into Friday's final round of play at the par-71 Ram Rock course at Horseshoe Bay.

Andrew Paysse of Temple moved to the top of the leader board after Thursday play.

He shot a 69 in the second round and sits at 141, two strokes in front of Deer Park golfer Jake McCrory.

Paysse won the UIL Class 5A state championship earlier this year.
