Ramsey comes up with 26 points, 11 caroms in Hornets' 67-62 loss

CENTRAL HEIGHTS —

After taking a seven point lead into the final period of play, New Summerfield faltered down the stretch in losing, 67-62 to CHSA Homeschool of Houston on Saturday on the closing day of the Central Heights Tournament.

The Wolverines outscored New Summerfield 30-18 in the final frame.

Senior Wiliam Ramsey had his best overall effort of the season washed out with the loss. Ramsey canned 26 points and collared 11 caroms.

Case Wilkerson put in 14 and Devin Abercrombie accounted for 11 of the Hornets' points.

Abercrombie and Wendl Thomas pulled down six boards each.

New Summerfield will take a 6-6 worksheet into a game at LaPoyner that will take place at 6 p.m. Friday.
