Brook Hill evened its record at 6-6 Saturday afternoon by leveling Lake Hamilton, Ark., a Class 6-A school with an enrollment in excess of 900, 4-1, in final day play of the Longview Lobo Classic Challenge.
Daniel Priddy, a Guard junior, had a memorable day on the hump and at the plate for the winners.
Priddy surrendered just one run on one hit to the Wolves. He whiffed six and walked one in picking up the complete game win.
The contest was called with two outs in the bottom of the fifth due to rain.
Priddy also had two hits and drove in two runs for the Guard.
Brook Hill's remaining safeties were carved out by McCray Fletcher, who also drove a run in, and Blake Maddox.
Maddox drove in Clayton Engel in the home half of the fifth, giving the Guard a little more cushion..
Brook Hill returns to the field at 1:30 p.m.Tuesday when they play host to Brownsboro.
