METAIRE, La. —
Jacksonville's Luke McCown came to terms with the New Orleans Saints on Wednesday to continue as the club's backup quarterback.
According to a Saints' officials, McCown inked a one-year deal.
A Louisiana Tech University product, McCown will be starting his 11th season in the NFL when the Saints convene for training camp in July.
McCown, 32, started his professional career as a Cleveland Brown in 2004, has also played for Tampa Bay, Jacksonville and Atlanta.
In addition to serving behind Drew Brees last year, McCown was the Saints' holder on the field goal tunit.
Prior to his signing, McCown was an unrestricted free agent.
