JMS tennis squads wallops Wills Point

JACKSONVILLE —



Netters from Jacksonville Middle School had an impressive showing this week as both the the 7th and 8th-grade units had little trouble in turning back WIlls Point.

The 8th-grade team logged a 15-7 win while the JMS 7th-graders tallied 17 points to Wills Point's 5.



JMS 8th-grade winners were: (doubles), Mason Hendrix & Nathaniel Crawford, Alonso Lopez & Andres Sales and Luke Williams & Josh Moore.



For the girls, Hannah Roper & Ashlynn Peacock, Alyssa Luther & Makayla Medley and Jacqueline Posada & Danielle Maiquez were all victorious.



Five boys from JMS won their respective singles matches.

That list included, Seth Bonner, Crawford, Lopez, Williams and Moore.



Luther, Peacock, Maiquez and Dariana Cervantes tallied singles wins for the 8th-grade girls.



Meanwhile, the 7th-grade doubles pairings of Thomas Brewer & Said Martinez, Hayden Hillencamp & Taylor Phillips, Alex Decker & Grayson McCune and Nathanial Santos & Sunni Magan were all winners on the day.



For the girls, the JMS teams of Brianna Rodriquez-Alonzo & Angelica Alvarez, Paulina Cerezo & Noelia Rangel and Abigail Mathis & Maddy Crow all earned points for their team.



Decker, Martinez, Hillencamp, Phillips and Magan were the boys singles winners for JMS.



In 7th-grade girls singles, Cerezo, Rodriquez-Alonzo, Crow, Mathis and Ashlynn Willburn all notched triumphs.
