Michael Crews, Houston Munsinger and Austin Ballew had two hits apiece as a part of a 12-hit Rusk attack and the Eagles coasted to a 12-3 District 19-3A decision over visiting Mexia on Tuesday night.
Munsinger and Ballew drove in three runs each to spark the Eagles (11-12, 6-2 19-3A),
The big inning was a friend to the Red and Black on Tuesday and Rusk was able to push five runs across the dish in the fourth and sixth frames in route to victory.
Drew Walley was credited with a complete-game win on the hump for head coach Jason Barnes' bunch.
Walley allowed just three hits and struck out 12 Blackcats.
Mexia dropped to 7-12, 1-7 with the defeat.
Rusk is scheduled to host Fairfield at 7 p.m. Friday.
