Rusk exploded for seven runs in the home half of the fourth inning as the Eagles went on to destroy Palestine, 15-6, Thursday night at Eagle Park.
Jadarian Skinner had two noteworthy hits for Rusk, while Houston Munsinger and Michael Crews added one each.
Crews and Austin Ballew drove in a pair of runs apiece in the Eagle win.
Josh Raiborn struck out six in scoring the pitching victory for the Red and Black.
The Eagles, who are off on Tuesday, upped their slate to 10-11 overall, 5-1 in 19-3A games with the win.
Palestine dropped to 9-8-1, 2-3.
Rusk, who has won five of its last six outings, leads second-place Groesbeck by a game and a half.
The Eagles will return to the diamond on Apr. 5 when they take on the Goats in Groesbeck.
Rusk will not play at Eagle Park again until Apr. 9 when Mexia comes to town.
