TENAHA —

The long awaited match up between Class A powerhouses Alto and Tenaha left Alto Yellowjacket fans with a bad taste in their mouths while Tenaha Tigers fans were no doubt tickled pink.

The No. 6-ranked Tigers routed Alto, ranked No. 9, 42-7 before a packed Tiger Stadium audience Friday evening.

After a Zero Week upset to Elkhart and a win last week, the Jackets are sitting in unfamiliar waters, at 1-2.

The Tigers also were upset last week, losing to Garrison, 17-10, but are now 2-1 on the year.

Alto will regroup and host Frankston next week.
