Bullard traveled to Kilgore last week to take part in the Kilgore Tournament, with several of the school's netters recording fine performances.
The Bullard duo of Cameron Sanson & Hunter Wages won second place in boy's “A” doubles where they were defeated in the championship match by Novy & Pliego from Longview 6-1, 6-1.
Sanson & Wages also earned wins over teams from Central Heights, Longview and Kilgore in route to the championship match.
Cody Hutson & Cody Cole paired up to win the consolation championship in boy's “B” doubles.
They beat Velazquez & Kirgis (Corsicana) 8-4 in the finals and also racked up victories over teams from Gladewater and Kilgore, after losing their first match of the day to another outfit out of Kilgore.
Meg Wages also gave a nice effort in capturing the consolation title in girl's “A” singles.
Wages defeated Henderson's Claire Shephard 8-5 in the finals.
She also topped players from Van and Kilgore prior to the championship match.
Wages' only loss came in her opening match, when she came up short against a player from Pine Tree.
In doubles play Bullard had several eighth-place finishers which included, Mallory McCoy & Madi Hodges, Landen Beckham & Reagan Whatley and Colton Mebane & Kelsey Long.
In boy's singles matches, Zach Wingate (boy's “A” singles) and Sal Giuliano (boy's “B” singles) also finished in eighth place, respectively.
Bullard was booked into today's Wills Point Tournament.
