Quick Look: Jacksonville, Bullard trade scrimmage wins

BULLARD — In what was the final scrimmage for both clubs, Jacksonville and Bullard varsity football teams played on even terms Friday morning at Panther Stadium.

The Tribe edged the Panthers, 2-1, in the controlled portion of the dress rehersal, while Bullard won the live quarter, 10-7.

Connor Mebane dialed up Brent Henderson on a 24-yard scroing play on Bullard's first possession of the live segment.

Following the PAT by Zack Aldridge, the Panthers led 7-0.

Jacksonville answered right back when quarterback Carter McCown fielded a bad snap and recovered to hit Tony Lane down the side line which netted the Tribe a 12-yard tourchdown.

After a Ryan Travis PAT, the game was tied, 7-7.

Bullard's winning score came on a 45-yard Aldridge field goal that came with 4:32 left to play.

Jacksonville was driving and had reached the Panther 35 when time expired.

The Indians claimed a 3-1 win over Bullard in the 9th-grade game.
