Scoring four runs in each of the third and fifth frames enabled Troup to move to 2-0 in district Tuesday after the Tigers walloped West Rusk's Raiders, 11-5, Tuesday.
Mason Mallard and Luke Smith had two hits apiece for the Tigers, who improved to 6-4 overall.
Tanner Hopson also launched a solo home run to aid the Tigers' cause.
Troup batters had seven hits in the game to West Rusk's two.
Kyle Williams was the winning pitcher of record for the Tigers. Williams pitched 2.2 innings, in what Tiger head coach Tell Ross, labeled as a “strong” outing.
Troup will continue conference play at 7 p.m. Friday by hosting arch-rival Arp.
