In a low scoring affair, Brook Hill hopped out to a 23-13 halftime lead over cross town rival Bullard and then made the advantage stand as the Guard (5-1) put away the Panthers, 43-34, Saturday on the final day of the Tommy Young Boys Varsity Classic, which was hosted by Brook Hill.
The Guard moved to 5-1 with the victory, while the Panthers slipped to 5-2 on the year.
Alex Hale and Grant Hanks ended up with 18 and 15 points, respectively, to guide the Guardsmen.
Phillip Kitt aded five, followed by Chase McDermott with four.
Bullard had two players to scored in double figures as Andrew Thomas and Major Tennison each knocked in 10.
Landon Beckham chipped in six for the Panthers.
Thomas drained two shots from 3-point range for Bullard.
