JACKSONVILLE — Dave Campbell's Texas Football magazine hit the streets Monday and Jacksonville Indian fans probably want enjoy reading the comments concerning the Indians quite as much as they have in years past.

Texas Football, whcih soon should be available at newstands and bookstores throughout the state, forecast the Tribe to finish in fifth place in the six-team circuit.

The publication, as predicted, tabbed Whitehouse and John Tyler as the teams to beat.

Corsicana was picked third, with the Dragons of Nacogdoches being slotted in the fourth position.

Lindale was tabbed last.

Four of the loop's six teams will make the state Class 4-A playoffs.

The accessment from the writers at Texas Football expressed concern for the fact Jacksonville lost 30 letterman off of last year's club (most to graduation) with many members of the Indians' 5-5 junior varsity team being looked at to fill the voids. There was also considerable concern regarding the Tribe defense, which retuns just three starters off of 2012's 4-7 team.
