White Oak broke a nip-and-tuck affair wide open in the overtime session Tuesday night at Wagstaff Gymnasium at Tyler Junior College and the Roughnecks sent Troup packing from the state Class 2A playoffs.
The final score was 64-53 as White Oak outscored the Tigers 17-6 in the extended session..
The game was tied 34-all after three quarters of play, with each school adding 13 points in the fourth period to force a bonus round.
Troup led for most of the fourth quarter, but the Roughnecks (15-6) came back late to knot things up.
Troup, who ends the year with a 14-16 slate, was led in scoring by Marcus Kincade's 17 points.
Anfernee Ross pitched in 10, followed by Lou Roberson with nine and Brandon Hearon, who added six.
White Oak's Cass Carr led all players with 24 points and Hayden Nichols had 17.
The Roughnecks will face Crockett in an Area round game later this week.
