HUNTINGTON —

Alto continued on its torrid pace by slamming Dallardsville Big Sandy 11-0 in five innings (Mercy Rule) on Friday evening at Huntington High School in a Class A, Region III area match-up.

The win sends the Lady Jackets into the regional quarterfinals late next week where they will take on Zavalla on a date and at a time to be announced.

Zavalla dispatched Shelbyville, 5-1, to advance to play the Lady Jackets, who are ranked No.1 in the most recent Class A poll.

Madison Crisp hurled a no-hitter Friday night and struck out seven.

Alto's offensive fortunes were spurred on by Alyssa Duplichain, Pam Arroyo and Hanna Watson.

Duplichain carved out three hits and drove in three runs while Arroyo had two hits and a pair of RBI.

Watson rounded things out with two hits and a RBI.

The Lady Jackets tallied 13 hits in the game, which was Alto's first post season outing, after receiving an opening round bye.
