Bryant, Davis and Berryman to represent area at UIL state track championships

AUSTIN — Three young men will be representing area interests at the UIL Track and Field Championships, which are scheduled for Friday and Saturday at University of Texas' Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin.

In Class 3A, Bullard's Haden Bryant will be competing in the 110-meter hurdles.

Bryant won the Class 3A Region III Meet by clocking a 14.74.

Troup will be sending Michael Davis to contest things in shot put (Class 2A).

Davis won the recent Class 2A Region III Meet with a throw of 49' 10 3/4”, which was over a foot in front of the runner-up's effort.

Alto's David Berryman has qualified for the Class 1A Championships in the 300-meter hurdles.

Berryman was the regional runner-up. He was clocked in a time of 41.41, which was .07 seconds off the winning pace.
