BELTON — Brook Hill's quest for a third-straight TAPPS 3A baseball title was put on hold by Mother Nature Wednesday morning.

Rain in the Belton area has now delayed the start of the game until 1 p.m. at the earliest.

Brook Hill defeated Red Oak Ovilla Christian, 7-1, in Tuesday's state semifinal.

The Eagles of Brazos Christian defeated The Woodlands Christian yesterday in the other semifinal.

This will be the fourth-consecutive year that head coach Terry Pirtle's Guardsmen have played in the state championship game.
