The Jacksonville Indians not only only posted a 4-0 record in the Madisonville Tournament on Thursday and Friday, but they won in a convincing manner as the Tribe had an average margin of victory of 22 points.
Coach Mark Alexander's Tribesmen will carry a 6-2 record into Tuesday's game at Athens. Varsity tipoff should take place around 7:30 p.m., following junior varsity and freshman games.
Jacksonville roughed up Normangee, 72-35, Thursday with Daytron Thompson firing in 15 points and Jeremy McAnally adding 14.
Charles Kendrick and Mason McCormick completed the double-digit scorers for the Indians, pumping in 11 and 10 points, respectively.
The Indians returned to the court later Thursday hammering Montgomery, 56-33.
Raybon Riden wound up with 14 points to pace the Tribe, with Thompson and Kendrick scoring 10 each.
Jacksonville had four players to hit for double figures in its 79-64 decision over Willis Friday afternoon.
Thompson led the way with 20 points, followed by Datavian Thacker with 17.
Kendrick pushed out 16 points and Claude Franklin dumped in 10.
Franklin dropped in 19 points to lead Jacksonville to its final win of the event, a 74-61 conquest of the Sandies from Grapeland.
Kendrick contributed 13 points, McAnally had 10 while Thacker and Chris Cross popped in nine apiece.
