The results are in and several of the Troup diamond nine have garnered significant post-season awards.
Mason Mallard, a catcher/outfielder who has signed with Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Ark. (NCAA, Division II), was named as the 18-2A Most Valuable Player.
Another Tiger receiving superlative mention was Luke Smith.
Smith, a pitcher, was voted as the district’s Defensive Player of the Year.
The Tigers had five young men named to the conference's first team roll.
That group included Garrett Pendleton, a pitcher, and infielders, Lou Roberson and Brant Palmer.
In addition, outfielders, Brandon Hearon and Kyle Williams secured spots onto the first unit.
Dalton Hayes, a pitcher, was the Tigers' lone representative on the second team.
Finally, Troup had a pair of players, Nate Jenkinson and Tanner Hopson picked for the honorable mention squad.
