Jacksonville JV tennis team drops Kilgore 13-9

JACKSONVILLE —

On the strength of sweeping the girls singles matches, the Jacksonville High School junior varsity tennis team was able to slip out of Kilgore with a 13-9 win over the Ragin' Red netters on Thursday.

The Tribe won all eight girls singles matches and captured the majority of the doubles matches as well.

In singles action, Shyia Magan, Lorena Mireles, Breanna Gay and Lexie Stickle all posted easy wins.

In addition, Allison Singleton, Kylie Levett, Carolina Landin and Taylor Rush had little difficulty in amassing wins.

Magan & Mireles earned a point for JHS in No. 1 doubles, as did Gay & Stickle at the No. 2 slot.

In No. 3 doubles, Taylor Rush teamed up with Landin to experience victory also.

In boys action, Jacksonville garnered wins in No. 4 singles and in No. 6 singles.
