16-3A Volleyball: Searcy's career-high 17 kills not enough as Bullard stopped By Gilmer

Bullard to host Chapel Hill on Tuesday

District 16-3A play continued Friday night at Panther Gymnasium for Bullard as the Lady Panthers and visiting Gilmer played a back-and-forth match that concluded with the Lady Buckeyes pulling off a 3-2 (27-25, 23-25, 25-21, 15-25, 25-17) win over the Lady Panthers.

Ashley Searcy had a career high 17 kills to go along with seven blocks for Bullard (17-10, 1-2 16-3A). Madi Hodges led Bullard with 29 digs and Mackenzie Fish had 20 gigs, 12 kills and six aces.Rachel Kelley tossed in 13 assists and four back line gems.

Bullard hosts district-rival Chapel Hill at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. The match wlll serve as both Pink Out match and Middle School night.

In sub-varsity play Friday, the Bullard 9th graders trampled Gilmer 2-0 (25-5, 25-12) with Hannah Lloyd getting 27 points off of the service line to compliment her 10 aces. The Lady Panther JV also posted a 2-0 (25-12 and 25-17.Haley Lombardo and Claudia Young were the standouts for the winners. The Bullard JV team now stands10-2, 2-1 16-3A).
