Josee Ross pumped in 21 points to lead Troup to a 51-26 massacre of rival Arp Tuesday night in Arp.
Arp prevented a Troup sweep of the 18-2A doubleheader, however, as the home team edged Troup, 74-67, despite a 22-point evening by Marcus Kincade of Troup.
The Troup squads will be back in action Friday when they host Hawkins, beginning with the girls game at 6 p.m.
Arp looked as though they were ready to runaway early on scoring the first seven-points in the game. However, once Troup hit stride, there was no looking back in the Troup win.
Troup’s Lady Tigers got a game-high 21-points and 15 rebounds from Josee Ross to lead to a 51-26, win for Troup over Arp on Tuesday night.
Ross scored her seventh-point in the second quarter to lead to a 23-13, Troup advantage.
Ross and her teammates continued to pour it on holding Arp to single-digits in three of the four quarters.
Emily Stone canned a trey to start the final period to push the Troup lead to 41-21.
A tenacious Troup defense, Arp was held to 13-points the final three quarters of play to lead to the victory.
Tinikia Lacy was the lone Arp player in double-digits with 12-points, eight of which came in the opening half of play as Troup held a 25-13 cushion at the break.
Tonesha Kincade added 16-points for Troup, knocking down three, 3-pointers in the game.

Thomas Reese was a force to be reckoned with, scoring a game-high, 30-points to lead Arp past Troup 74-67.
The game was highlighted with 11 ties, and seven lead changes.
The last lead change was one of Chance Selvidge’s 16-points to gain a 34-32 advantage in the third period.
Arp answered with a 12-point run to make the Arp lead 51-41 after three periods.
Reese went back to work, scoring 12 of his 30-points down the stretch for the much needed win for Arp. Reese had a double-double, adding in 13 rebounds.
Clay Seiber scored all 13-points in the middle quarters, and teammate Justin Johnson stepped up big for eight, second half points in the win.
Marcus Kincade knocked down three treys and scored a team-high 22 points, to go with Selvidge adding nine rebounds to his 16-point effort. Anfernee Ross added in 15-points for Troup in the setback.
