Troup freshman Jordan Lynn made the most of her first start in the pitching circle as a varsity player on Friday.
Lynn collected a no-hitter (3 innings) as the Lady Tigers hammered host Winona 15-0 to complete the first pass through District 18-2A with an unblemished (7-0) worksheet — the Lady Tigers are 21-4-2 overall.
Lynn struck out four and walked one in picking up her first varsity-pitching victory.
Troup batters decimated Lady Wildcat pitching as Troup collected six hits in the abbreviated (Mercy Rule) affair.
Winona also committed five errors, which the Lady Tigers were able to make the most of.
Stephen F. Austin signee Katelyn Standley went 2-for-2 with a double and two RBI to ignite the Lady Tigers offensively.
Ronni Boyer went 1-for-1 and collected a two-base knock and a couple of RBI.
Macey Minnix, Josee Ross and Lynn each had a base hit for the Lady Tigers.
Minnix drove two runs in and Ross had one RBI in the contest.
Troup scored seven runs in the first inning and then added eight more in the top of the second.
The loss dropped the Lady Wildcats to 0-7 in conference play.
Troup is scheduled to visit Harmony, the third-place team in the loop, at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
