Springer throws 1-hitter; Lady Panthers shell Kilgore, 10-0

KILGORE —

Bullard won its ninth game in-a-row Monday by blanking Kilgore, 10-0, at Stream Flo Park in Kilgore.

The triumph also kept the Lady Panthers at the top of the District 16-3A standings, where Bullard owns a 2-0 record.

Senior Kristi “Coco” Springer went the distance in the circle for the Lady Panthers and allowed just one Lady Bulldog hit.

Springer stuck out nine Kilgore batters.

Sarah Wakefield (three hits) and Zoe Hancock ( two hits) paced the 10-hit lady Panther attack. Springer, Hancock and Nikki Johnson picked up RBI for Bullard.

The Lady Panthers are slated to return to action at 10 a.m. today when they welcome Gladewater to Lady Panther Park.
