Tribe linksters finish 2nd in Indian Classic

Brook Hill boys 3rd, Rusk ends up 6th

JACKSONVILLE —

All Saints, coming in at 323, took first place at the Indian Classic golf tournament, which took place Friday at The Challenge at the Woods.

The Indian linksters came in second at 328, followed by Brook Hill (338).

All Saints also won the girls division, posting a team total of 407. Palestine took second on the girls side, with a team total of 457.

Andrew Bloch from All Saints won medalist honors by carding a 74. Ben Augustine of Nacogdoches also fired a 74, while Jacksonville's Cameron Brown ended his day at 75.

Rusk finished sixth in the team standings at 389. Toby Goff (83) led the Eagle golfers.

Girls medalist honors wenet to Shelby Fravenberger (78) of Grapeland. Rusk's Lily Raiborn shot a 99 to come in sixth.

The tournament was originally scheduled to be played on Monday, but was forced to be delayed due to inclement weather early last week.
