COLLEGE STATION, Texas — According to several natioanl media outlets, Texas A & M quarterback Johnny Manziel has been given a half-game suspension by the NCAA and will serve the penalty in Saturday's season opener against Rice.
The NCAA investigation could not prove that Manziel, last year's Heisman Trophy winner, was ever paid for his signatures by autograph brokers.
His punishment is for knowingly signing autographs with autograph dealers.
The suspension was agreed upon by both Texas A & M and the NCAA and officially marks the end of the Manziel autograph saga.
The report said that Manziel will not face any additional punishment.
