JACKSONVILLE — Soccer matches scheduled for Friday at Jacksonville College have been moved up and will begin at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m.
The Lady Jaguars will be taking on the East Texas Baptist University women in the opening match, with the men's clubs from both colleges set to do battle in the night cap.
The time change was necessary due to a delay in lights being installed at Bill McRae Field. The final phase of that project is scheduled to get under way next week, according to Lynn Nabi, JC academic dean.
This is the first year that JC has fielded soccer teams. The Lady Jags are 1-2 on the year while the Jags stand at 0-2-1.
ETBU, based in Marshall, competes at the NCAA Divison III level.
