JHS girls go winless in Ennis Tournament

ENNIS — The Jacksonville Fight'n Maiden basketball team found the going extremely tough in the Ennis Tournament last weekend, in fact, so difficult that the Maidens lost all four of their games in the three-day event.

Jacksonville (3-4) lost , 46-44, in overtime in its opener against Amarillo Caprock and followed that up with a 37-27 defeat to Mansfield.

Carrollton Creekview dispatched the Maidens, 42-31,with Jacksonville falling in its final clash, 42-16, to Fort Worth Wyatt.

The JHS girls, who have an open date tonight, will open play in the Brownsboro Great East Texas Shootout at 10:45 a.m. Thursday when they face Mount Pleasant Chapel Hill.

The tournament is slated to run through Saturday.
