Bullard Lady Panther ace and Texas Woman's University signee, Kristi “CoCo” Springer has been named as the District 16-3A Most Valuable Player, following a poll of the circuit's head coaches.
Springer went 19-3 during the 2014 campaign while posting an earned run average of .043.
She struck out 292 batters in 177.2 innings while walking 47.
At the plate Springer finished up with a lofty .407 batting average.
She stroked one home run and accounted for 24 runs batted in. Springer also led her club with six doubles in 105 plate appearances.
Bullard, led by head coach Pam Chestnut, was also recognized as having the Coaching Staff of the Year.
Meanwhile Bullard freshman Zoe Hancock was a First Team choice at middle infielder.
Sarah Ritch (Jr., catcher), Ashleigh Gillard (Soph., infielder) and outfielders Taylor Frederick (Sr.) and Baylee Taylor (Soph.) picked up Second Team mention.
The Lady Panthers also had a trio of players named to the Honorable Mention list.
That group included Sarah Wakefield, Hana Woyt and Nikki Johnson.
