The announcement of the Texas High School Baseball Coaches' 3A all-state team last week saw a trio of Rusk Eagles included among the 54 young men who were tabbed for accolades.
Josh Raiborn, a junior left hander, picked up second team lauds for the Jason Barnes-coached Eagles.
Third team selections from Rusk included Parker Clark, a 10th-grader.
Clark saw considerable duty as the Eagles' designated hitter last season.
Also making the third unit was senior Vijay Stingley.
Stingley not only swung a potent bat for the Red and Black, put also flashed the leather in left field on numerous occasions.
Rusk ended the regular season as the undefeated (12-0) District 19-3A champions.
After a 13-game winning streak, the Eagles finished the season with a 19-11 record.
